By any chance does anyone know where I can purchase a 1962 Dominican Altar Missal.
The one Priest I serve the TLM for, is a 3rd Order Dominican also, and He was asked by the Dominican Sisters if he would say the TLM for them. He is going to use the Roman Altar Missal since He doesn’t have a Dominican one, and I usually able to come up with stuff like that

Thanks and God Bless

Tom, this is the most exciting post I’ve seen almost ever… I am interested in Dominicans, but as far as I knew the only ones with the TLM were in France, but I knew that could change with the Motu Proprio… which Sisters are these?

I was going to ask if they were a solid group, but they must be if they want the Old Rite, huh? You can PM me if you want. Thanks so much!

chemere.org/ is the group in France you’re talking about (in case you didn’t have their website).

Many of us who belong to the Dominican 3rd Order/ Fraternity ( lol, it only took our Providence over 20 yrs to change the name to Fraternity, we were somewhat behind the times ) we attend the TLM, in my case, serve the TLM.

Is it the Dominican Mass - you know like the one above w/ the shortened confiteor - or is it the actual Tridentine Mass?

It is the TLM according to the Roman Missal held at one of the Diocesan Parish’s. One of the Celebrants is a 3rd Order Dominican Priest. I asked if it would be according to the Dominican usage, He said no, due too not knowing the rubrics, etc. Unfortunately from past experience, I have learned if the opportunity is there, act on it. Sept. 2004 Bishop Rifan said Mass in Buffalo. 10 yrs earlier I had the opportunity to buy the rubric’s, etc., for a Bishop’s Mass and I didn’t, therefore Bishop Rifan was telling us thru out the Mass what to do. Lo and behold I came across the Ceremonials for a Bishop’s Mass a couple of weeks later and I bought it. I learned the hard way, especially when I was the one on the Altar who "sort of " knew better.

Sorry… when I inquired above about Dominicans I meant Sisters, as in which community of Dominican Sisters want the TLM. (I’m discerning and a fan of the Dominicans, but also of the TLM/old rites and as far as I can tell they weren’t to be found in the same place.)

Actually I did look this up, and from your location is it the Buffalo New York ones, of the Most Holy Rosary?
