Any one have a good CD that I can track down of traditional English Hymns?

Ive been looking and can’t seem to find one. Even a list of some would help me?

What do you mean by “Traditional?” What time period are you looking for?

I assume when you say “English hymns,” you mean hymns from England not hymns in English??

Or do you mean sort of standard (non 20th century) Catholic hymns??
 
Im looking for Hymns which are traditional (pre vat II, no protestant “lord of the dance ect”) for example Holy Holy Holy, Holy God We Praise Thy Name.

Songs like that, and sung with the organ. Because when I get some hymns its usually comes equipped with a trumpet, guitar, and piano. It’s kind of not my thing. I found Latin Hymns no problem but I just wanted some in english.

Does this “Adoremus Hymnal” have the acutal songs on it or is it just the book, lyrics and sheet music? I’m looking for like a recorded CD of those Hymns done by a choir or orchestra?

Thanks, anything like that?

The Adoremus Hymnal is all traditional, mostly English, some Latin. It comes in 4 editions: Pew, Choir, Organ, and CD. I have the Pew edition, not the CD. I think the CD’s are “teaching” recordings, usually just the first stanza and refrain if any. I’m not sure if that’s what you want or if you want the full hymns performed.

Just check out the link. This is the website of the publisher (Ignatius Press). Look at the link that says Music Intro 4-CD set, which I think you can order apart from the books. For more info, I think you can e-mail them.
 
I don’t know the name or publisher of the English (as in England) Catholic hymnal my parish uses, but I can post it as soon as I go to church again.
 
Well thats all Im looking for is a CD of some choir singing hymns. Thats all.
