What is the traditional Latin method of fasting for Lent? I wanted to use it this year.
Thanks for that link - I read last year here about posters speaking of fasting all through Lent. I grew up roughly pre- and during Vatican II changes. I used to hear that my grandfather (long gone then) used to fast the entire 40 days. But I don’t ever recall the Baltimore Catechism mentioning that we had to fast all 40 days (unless it mentioned an age group I wasn’t in yet???). Abstinence was a given pre-Vatican II.This site has a nice chart:

corrections you abstain on all Fridays of lent. and ash Wednesday and Good Friday are day of abstinence and fasting.According to my research, you fast every Friday of lent. Abstinence and fasting on Ash Wednesday and also good Friday. That’s it.
