This one is a hymn to the Sacred Heart which I would like to use for next week’s feast. Any translation help would be appreciated!
- Cor Dúlce, Cor amábile,
amóre nóstri sáucium,
amóre nóstri lánguidum,
fac sis míhi placábile.
- Cor Jésu mélle dúlcius,
Cor sóle púro púrius,
Vérbi Déi Sacrárium,
Ópum Déi compéndium.
I found this much on a website:
- Tu pórtus órbi náufrago,
secúra pax fidélibus,
Réis asýlum méntibus,
píis recéssus córdibus.
Loving Heart, lovable Heart,
On fire with love of us,
Exhausted with love of us,
Be merciful to me.
Thanks for any help you might be able to offer!Heart of Jesus, sweeter than honey,
Friend of pure minds,
[The last two lines
didn’t match up at all.]
