No, like when he prays silently. Plus, just to clear my confusion…

What is the starting point of the Transubstantiation?
 
Hold on - the Vatican has recognised as valid, in 2001, the Anaphora of Addai and Mari, which doesn’t contain the words of institution that you have mentioned above.

So it would seem that it’s not those actual words of consecration that effect the change. Although there IS a more general Eucharistic narrative, so maybe that is sufficient?

That is a most interesting thought. I didn’t realize that that rite didn’t use the words of institution in the literal way that the other rites do.

It appears that since those words are implied via the entire narrative, it is still a valid prayer. Lex orandi, lex credendi I suppose.
