I understand the ailing. Biblical theology asserts that you must understand the context before you judge. I appreciate your integrity, but original sin is a reality of the faith.

Ok.Let us hold that the exact purpose and role of the tree of life in Eden is not so much disclosed by God.Still having put it in the centre of Eden it could have some purpose. Except that its fruit gives life for ever and that its presence was the only reason to ouster them Eden, we are not given any other information(Was Adam aware of about its fruit, did he try its fruit etc).May be God wants that we need not much bother about these.
Hi, Joseie!
…here’s what I can tell you… I’ve met several Believers who have regretted not submitting their wills to God earlier in their life; they lament the fact that it took them “x” number of years to fully come to God… they demonstrate concern with not knowing Christ as fully from their early childhood… God does not look into our background to determine who has “joined” for a longer period of time (parable of the workers who all get paid the same amount regardless of their toil); God’s concern is with our submission to Him; He Knows that some of us will take longer while, perhaps, only a very few (as my Mom) would surrender to Him from early childhood.

Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden. Everything there was for the “taking” except for one item. They chose to “taste” that one item that was forbidden to them and they lost access to Eden and everything that was contained therein.

We know not what would have normally developed since Adam lost access. What we do know is that God Created everything for the benefit of man.

While we still do not have all the information, we can rest assured that God’s Purpose for our betterment continues as He assures our Salvation in Christ Jesus.

Most of us do not know exactly how hydration occurs… but when our body thirsts we reach for water (the mechanism in place is so exact that even when we flood it with anything but water the thirst is never fully quenched as our body still demands water); this could be an analogy for God’s Plan and man: regardless of what we know/don’t know God’s choice for us is the ultimate thirst quencher! We must rely on God and not ourselves (cognition) and the Holy Spirit will fill us to the max:
For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for God doth not give the Spirit by measure. (St. John 3:34)
As we become more dependent on God we will need less and less knowledge of God’s Design–God has been allowing man to know Him throughout the ages, even through science, but only as far as His Will allows.

Let us then, know, in peace, that Adam did not lose out because God stepped in just at the right time:
3 So we also, when we were children, were serving under the elements of the world. 4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law: 5 That he might redeem them who were under the law: that we might receive the adoption of sons. (Galatians 4:3-5)
For he saith: In an accepted time have I heard thee; and in the day of salvation have I helped thee. Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2)
Our view of Adam’s episode is in hindsight, yet we can trust that God did not reject Adam forever because God’s Mercy is greater than all sin.

Maran atha!
