Tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil

Genesis 2:9
9 Out of the ground the LORD God made various trees grow that were delightful to look at and good for food, with * the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the *tree of the knowledge of good and evil. From that tree you shall not eat; the moment you eat from it you are surely doomed to die.”

  * If we look at the following passages I have to ask, are these *two “*different” trees or are these one in the same tree? 

  Genesis 2:16-17

16 The LORD God gave man this order: “You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden17 except *the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

  * This would mean that the “Tree of Life” is the tree in the middle of the garden not the *tree of the knowledge of good and evil* and Eve misquoted God  by adding  “or even touch it”  in the verse below but also had the wrong tree if *the tree of life* and the *tree of the knowledge of good and evil* these were two separate trees.

  Genesis 3:2

2 The woman answered the serpent: “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden; 3 it is only about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden that God said, ‘You shall not eat it or even touch it, lest you die.’”

  * If these are *two* separate trees, then the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was’nt in the *middle *of the garden and Eve had it wrong because God said  “You are free to eat from any of the trees of the garden17 except *the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

  Genesis 3:24

24 When he expelled the man, he settled him east of the garden of Eden; and he stationed the cherubim and the fiery revolving sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.

  * If these are two separate trees the tree of life is guarded but the tree of knowledge of good and evil is’nt so we can all partake of it and choose between good and evil.

• Lastly it is only about tree of life that is mentioned in the book of Revelations

Revelation 2:7
7 “Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the victor I will give the right to eat from the tree of life that is in the garden of God.”’

         * Revelation 22:14.

14 Blessed are they who wash their robes so as to have the right to the tree of life and enter the city through its gates.

Revelation 22:19
19 and if anyone takes away from the words in this prophetic book, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city described in this book

These are 2 different trees, and they are both in the middle of the garden (could you go to the “middle” of an orchard and pick fruit off of 2 (or more) different trees?). Eve did misquote God’s command (see Proverbs 30:6), and that is why she was so easily deceived. As to why there is no Tree of Knowledge in Heaven, 1 Cor 13:12 says, “We see now through a glass in a dark manner; but then face to face. Now I know I part; but then I shall know even as I am known.” (DR) This would indicate that there is no need for this tree to be available in Heaven (it may be, but it won’t be necessary for us to eat of it in order to have knowledge).
