So, where does it say in the ruberics that a priest can give out candy before the final blessing at the front of the church?! Shame on these commitee men for making our churches/sanctuaries into social clubs. As well, priests should know better and should know where to draw the line. But money talks and they know that.
 
BTW, Didn’t really go over with the parishioners. About half the people left before the final blessing and when kids were going crazy for sugar.
 
What do you think of this? I was at a Catholic Parish today where there was a lady dressed up like a witch greeting people coming into Mass. (She was in the church, seamingly with the approval of the parish) After Mass the same lady/witch was giving out candy as people left.

I was shocked! Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
