Don’t worry about me (the OP) so much. Although there were some unsavory characters here early on, I haven’t been chased off. I’m not totally turned off of the EF. And I already attend the OF for all Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation, I don’t need any encouragement just to attend Mass! I might try “assisting” at Mass at the EF now and then, which is a reversal of my earlier intention, but I intend to go only with a friend who is familiar with the EF.

lol, I wasn’t exhorting you to just go to mass, as much as just trying to remind you that you need not buy into the opinions of some that you’re receiving something less by going to N.O.

I’ve even seen some try and suggest that when you go to Novos Ordo you’re not receiving the body and blood of Christ, but mere bread and wine because the institution is invalid
