I would like to dive into the depths of the Trinity but I’d really enjoy some direction in doing so. I’m not afraid of heavy material but I respect that light material is just as useful for understanding. So I’m calling on my brothers and sisters to please provide the best reading material to not only begin but to walk deep into this subject. What do you suggest I read?

Tertullian’s Against Praxeus, Hippolytus Against Noetus, and Novatian’s On the Trinity were seminal works in articulating the relationship between the Father and the Son. Basil of Caesarea, Gregory of Nyssa, and Gregory of Nazianzus writings were important to articulating the relationship between the first two persons of the Trinity, and the Holy Spirit.

If you want a good reader’s digest version though that discusses the Scriptural evidence for the Trinity, I would recommend the Forgotten Trinity.
