While reading through the O.T. patriarch’s I thought how Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are a good type of the Trinity.
Abraham (Father), willing to sacrifice his only son.
Isaac (Son), willing to lay his life down, after all I think he could have taken his 100+ year old father.
Jacob (Holy Spirit), giving birth to a nation, as the Holy Spirit birthed the new Israel / Catholic Church.
Can anyone provide any reading on this topic? Or just provide your thoughts, and any other interesting typology.
