OK, Folks. See if you can answer this one:

If a baby rabbit is a bunny, what is a baby hare?

Good ol’ Google. Yep. A leveret.

Now, then, what is the unique quality about a Belgian Hare?

A baby cat is a kitten. I’ve heard of baby rabbits being called kittens, but they are more commonly referred to as bunnies. How confusing it would be if we called the Easter Bunny an Easter Kitten – and put chocolate cats in kids’ Easter baskets. A little weird, right?

I think you were thinking of a baby hair, instead of a baby hare. A baby hair could indeed be a whisker, unless it’s fully grown out.

Now, what about that Belgian Hare? What unique quality sets it apart from other hares?

Is it that the Belgian Hares are believed to be the only breed of domestic rabbit to display a rich red or chestnut coat with the striking black ticking that is present in the coats of wild rabbits?

Or that it’s actually a rabbit?

I also read they can learn and respond to their name🧐

Belgian Hares are actually rabbits bred to look like hares.

Jackrabbits, on the other hand, are actually hares.

This has been answered. See post above.

A Belgian Hare is actually a rabbit, and not a hare, at all.
