trouble at work

Please pray for me. I had a rough day at work yesterday and I’m feeling pretty low. Generally speaking, there’s a lot of change going on where I work and I have a feeling that my job’s about to get really sucky and I’m just flustered.

I recently applied for another job - I think it’s a long shot. I know I shouldn’t seek another job just to escape my present woes, but I would like to move on from here. I do enjoy my work and my coworkers, but I feel like I’m ‘done’ with this job. Like I’ve done all there is to do and I need a new challenge.

Ideally I’d love to stay at home w/ my babies, but we cannot afford it and I don’t think DH is in a place in his life to take on whatever challenge and change it would take to make this happen. Hoping in the future that I can at least cut back to part time when my oldest starts school so that I can take him to/from school everyday and attend daily mass w/ him (he’ll be going to our parish school).

I used to feel that way. I always seemed to get a new job when I prayed to St. Anthony. (I prayed to him a lot!):blessyou:

Here’s a prayer, and, it’s just my opinion, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with looking for another job to better your situation. All the best to you.

Remember oh most Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence I fly unto you, oh virgin of virgins my mother. To you I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. Oh mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petition, but in your mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
 
Your needs and your family needs will be in my Masses and prayers. Please God things will resolve for your husband and you soon.
 
Please keep praying. In addressing my boss to ask if we can work out a better schedule for me to be able to get my work done, it backfired and I feel she and the other staff will now be ‘dumping’ extra work on me more than usual and my job will increasingly take on more and more of the ‘dirty’ work that nobody else wants to do.

This making it increasingly difficult for me to even do my basic work, just very upset.

I feel your pain. 😦 (I too long to be home with our DD and our DS who is due in a few months.)
