I’ve seen numerous threads recently concerning people having trouble reading Genesis, with all the begatting and the killing going on.

I’m in the middle of Scott Hahn’s “A Father Who Keeps His Promises” and Wow, it’s a great book! It’s covered Genesis so well, that I can come to appreciate more of the layers of messages hidden within it.

Has anyone else ever read this, and if so, do they agree?
Also, What else do you recommend to help me understand a lot of the Old Testament Books?

Thanks,

If you liked that book by Scott Hahn, he has several other books and tons of other Bible studies on tape available from St. Joseph’s Communications (www.saintjoe.com)). He and Jeff Cavins did a TV series for EWTN a few years ago called “Our Father’s Plan” that goes through the entire Bible showing how it all fits into salvation history. After taking that course, you will be well grounded in the Old and New Testaments.
