i would like to think that one of the main reasons we engage in the sacrament is because we feel remorse, generally, right after I sin, I feel a great deal of discomfort in both the act and in the way in which I stand with God, it is my honest belief that God creates that feeling, he simply cuts us off but it isn’t one forever he allows me to cling , cling to his goodness and pray for this ugliness,
which is why i often have learned much by sin, we shouldnt sin to learn though just ike we according to the book of Romans shouldnt’t sin for more grace to abound, its never ok to sin,
feelings prior to actual confession vary, but I pray very hard prior to entering the confessional and when I do confess I make it a narrative completely from the hear,t i have done a list confession in the past, but I ffeel that if you tell it liek a narrative you can even come to tears within the confessional, and your dialogue is very humanistic with the confessor,
Question: If you sat beside Jesus and he allowed you to tell him all your wrong doing, wouldnt you tel lhim everything? thats how I like to be, make it personal, and no holds bar
