Truth about these criticisms

you might want to begin with the dozens of past threads here on the topics bent cross, inverted cross or upside down cross, to see how ludicrous these accusations are. i envy you your free time to waste on such sites.

I’m wondering if they actually look into the details. I bet Catholics have refuted their accusations, why don’t they even care to listen? Isn’t their goal to tell others the truth?

99.999% of what they have on sites like that are “complete falsehoods”. There is so much erroneous information that what they really read like is the “National Enquirer”, and contain less truth than the rag does.

I wouldn’t waste any time on those sites… they are about as accurate and honest as the “Onion”. At least the “Onion” is funny and a parody newspaper…and doesn’t hide the fact.

No, Jazzy, their goal isn’t to tell others the truth–their goal is to spread their blasphemous ideas as far as possible, through people who don’t know enough about the Church to refute them!🤷

Just one example of their lies: “The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the QUEEN OF HEAVEN…that they may provoke me to anger” -Jeremiah 7:18 This is a genuine quote from the prophet Jeremiah–the only problem is that Jeremiah lived about six hundred years before Christ!! Therefore it’s totally impossible for the cakes the women are making to be for the Blessed Mother. There are several different opinions as to who the “Queen of Heaven” represents–most people seem to feel that it represents the moon, which was worshipped as a god by many primitive people.

Any attempt to give the truth to these people would be a total waste of time–they don’t want the truth, only the opportunity to bash the Church…:eek:

So they know the truth but they like their own ideas so they spread lies???

I agree that it’s a waste of time to refute them… They’ll just try to find something else as an argument, and it won’t change, they’ll find some way around…
