The Good News Bible is a mainstream protestant bible designed for readabilty but not necesarily for accuracy.
It have several versions, the Standard (Masoretic OT canon) ecumenical (Setuagint Ot canon including the deuterocanonicals used in the RCC and EOC churches).
I think that the ecumenical version got the stamp of approval from the RCC.
The KJV original version have the deuterocanonicals in a section between the OT and NT. But the translation does reflect some protestant bias. American KJV do not have deuterocanonicals.
