I think for the last 3 weeks it is, I’ve been listening to lovely instrumental music (my sisters
Cd of music 🙂 ) to sooth me , but the problem is its in my head -all the time. Background music to my dreams when I sleep,as soon as I wake and the rest of the time in between .
I wouldn’t mind, but it’s also there when I pray and at mass, gently stringing away, still soothing but persistent.I try and offer its distractions up.
So, my questions are, how do I get it to ease up,is it a reaction to stress and are my prayers just valid with added music?🙂
Any suggestions?

Stop listening to the music if you haven’t already and in time it will go away. At least that was my experience last year with an Aerosmith song I heard several times in one week. It took about 2 weeks to let go of it. Other things will fill it’s space I believe. Good luck-no worries.

Thanks 🙂 I’ll give that a go.No music for a bit? Or just something different?

No music for awhile. How can you hear the voice of the Lord? He may be calling your name. Peace.

Music should be helpful, not distracting.
Turn it done. Way down.

Music is auditory stimuli that blocks out and competes within your brain for attention.

What you need is silence.

Sounds like tinnitus…🙂 …it will pass, just don’t listen so much when you are awake!

Thanks for your suggestions and thoughts:)
It faded away yesterday and I have silence.I think it was mostly to do with stress.
Here’s me imagining years ago how funny it would be , like in the movies, we had our own
back ground music to the events in our lives 😉
Not so funny, especially when you just want quiet to think and pray.
