Beside the point, this doesn’t help his argument, no one has proclaimed Washington a deity or even claimed he didn’t have flaws. Same with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We honor and remember them both for just reasons. (Jesus is our Lord and Savior and totally different subject)

Don Lemon has never exactly been a model of Christianity in his beliefs and actions, so this is really not that surprising. But it is pretty embarrassing that he would make such a comment nonetheless.

And isn’t that Chris Cuomo he was talking to? Isn’t Cuomo a practicing Catholic? The lack of a correction there from him is just appalling.

As for deifying the founders of America - no, we shouldn’t deify them, but we can note their flaws while also acknowledging them in history as the people who founded our country. Slave-owners or not, if not for them, America wouldn’t exist. Period.

One of the Cuomo brothers using their public platform to misrepresent the Catholic faith!

Unfortunately this is so common it’s not news worthy.

Already a thread going about this.

Don Lemon says Christ wasn’t perfect World News
Would he say the same thing about other religious figures?

To say the Son of God wasn’t perfect is to say that God wasn’t/isn’t perfect. Jesus was sinless, and he redeemed us. What more can anyone ask for?

He still is sinless, and He continues to redeem us.

Don Lemon probably says outlandish and provocative things to get noticed and boost his show’s ratings. I’m proud to say I’ve never watched his show ever, and quit watching his network years ago.

Oh, it’s Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo. 😂 Makes sense. Would be funny if it wasn’t so annoying that people actually listen to these people.

I was trying to figure out if he was trying to say something else about historical context in the bible but used a poor comparison or wordage, but I’ve got nothing. That was stupid. If you believe in Jesus, then you believe he WAS perfect, Lemon. 🍋

Just say no to the alphabet soup media garbage on TV.
