My guess is - from a marketing perspective - because most of the viewers are male. And most of the cast members are male. So the few female heroes are important to the producers. The more attractive, the better. If you notice, the female heroes have different types of physical beauty, to attract different types of fan boys  But that’s just my guess.

And I find Mohinder attractive but, come on, he’s pretty annoying 😃
I think that’s a very fair guess. 😉 Maybe they’ll do more interesting things with her character(s) this season. With the first few episodes, I already find myself disliking her less and less. 🙂

Well, I don’t think the super power is to be in different places. Nikki is dead, from what I can tell. She died in that fire. My friend suggested that maybe Jessica was just a different personality and Nikki believed her to be her real sister shrug. Haven’t met Gina yet. I really think they are all different people (except for Jessica), not one person being in lots of places. The doctor said he “created them”, and there were three of them. Not FOUR of them. That’s what sent off alarms to me, then what about Jessica???
Well, I realized last night that I was behind two episodes (we don’t have television, I watch the videos on NBC.com) so I caught the one where the doctor tells Tracy he created her, but not the one where he says there were three? I’ll get all caught up tonight. I also saw how she can turn things to ice (or stone?). Also saw that Nikki is dead, from trying to rescue copycat girl (did she die too?). Happy to see Mica – he’s a cutie. Anyhoo, Gina is the personality that left DL to go to Los Angeles and party it up and is the reason D.L. got shot on the steps of the club as he tried to get her to leave. Don’t remember if that was season 1 or 2. But, yeah, if they wanted to make her a little more interesting and a little less slutty just anytime now, I’d be great with that.

Also agree that Noah + Sylar = Totally exciting scenes.

But Matt Parkman + Spirit Walker = What the heck? Please be going somewhere here.

Love this show! And this thread! Thanks for letting me let my Heroes geek out.

Yeah, at least they don’t show her stuck behind mirrors anymore. Again, WHAT THE HECK??? If she is three people, why the mirror stuff from Season 1? They’ve got a lot of ‘splainin’ to do…

.
OH YEAH!! I forgot about that. Man, this makes me want to go rewatch seasons 1 and 2…

I am disturbed that Peter now has Sylar’s abilities.

On a funny side note - my vet has taken in a stray cat. He probably had a hard life and is not at all pleasant, but she has mercy on him and lets him live peacefully in the vet office basement. They named him Sylar. 😃

They named him Sylar. 😃
LOL. I met a fellow lady who was a bit more preggers than me at the time. She said they were naming their child Sylar if he’s a boy. I could only joke that I hoped his dad isn’t a watchmaker… :o

Man - what thoughts that conjures.

I agree with the immorality given to the character Ali Larter plays. My theory on the characters: Nicky has multiple personalities. Jessica and Gina are only two of these personalities. The three people Dr. Zimmerman created were Barbara, Nicky, and Treacy. I believe each with different powers.

Tim Kring originally wanted Nick’s character to have the ability to bi-locate. (To be in two places at once, for our non-Catholic brethren) He also wanted her to be a showgirl instead of a stripper.

The whole mirror thing in Season 1 was to show her struggle with multiple personalities. I think this was more for us the viewers.

Oh Noes!! I haven’t watched it yet. Will see it tonight… I fear the worst…

I just got to watch it last night (monday was quite crazy for me)… sigh That’s why I didn’t post anymore into it. 😊

Who elses eyes did this  when Hiro did what he did??
There’d better be some kind of twist to that. That was so completely out of character for Hiro and contradicts his entire being. If there’s not a twist regarding that, it was just absolutely shoddy writing.

I agree! My friend and I are speculating that he did something with his time manipulations to only make it look like that. If not, I’ll be pretty mad.

I double agree! Finally watched the episode last night and I enjoyed it. I find myself really liking Sylar and wanting to see more of him. Apparently this is the plan, as everyone is switching sides! My husband dislikes that element: “You don’t know who is good and who is evil anymore.” I fear that this sort of crossover for all the characters could further blur evil as being morally ambiguous in some way. However, I am patiently waiting to see what happens.

Aside from that, I really liked several of the scenes last night: Hiro and Adam are quite comical together – laughed out loud for their exchanges
Shocked by Hiro and Ando
Totally freaked by the guy Meredith was stuck having dinner with
Every scene containing Sylar
Wish Mya hadn’t turned off her power when she had the chance…

Heroes rocks. Don’t love this season as much as the previous two, but it is starting to move along…

This season is really starting to make me angry. I don’t know if it’s because I am wanting to watch more NOW or if I’m unhappy with what they are doing to my favorite characters.

My daughter said pretty much the same thing. She hates when they make the good characters do bad things.

BTW, aren’t you glad you don’t have parents like the Petrelli’s

There hasn’t been any posts lately and I haven’t seen any new Heroes threads. So, I was wondering, how about the season so far? The mid-season break is coming up after this Monday night’s episode called “Duel” now (after being changed from “War” and then “Duality”). It will be the end of this volume of “Villians” with volume 4 called “Fugitives” coming up in February.

There have been some interesting developments, Sylar has turned evil again and killed Elle, I wsas sad to see. And it looks like Arthur is dead also (but you never know), and Nathan’s taking over Pinehurst to continue his father’s work. Pretty intriguing so far.
