I’m a dedicated Hugh Laurie fan … 😃

of course I only know him from his comedy work, which is brilliant, but it’s nice to see him do such a heck of a job in the dramatic department as well.

It is sorta bittersweet.
I just started at the seminary and though we can watch TV on our freetime, tuesday is silent night which means no TV. Oh well. God’s will in my life >> TV shows
Ah, the things I do for love of Christ 😛

I ought not to be reading this…I haven’t seen the opener yet!!

Even with 8 weeks + recovery I find it a stretch of the imagination that House would be able to run to work and up/down the stadium steps. Shortly before he was shot he was showing Cuddy his leg, commenting out the continuing loss of tissue mass developing. Suddenly, the tissue mass grew back?

Same with the guy at the end. Has been in a wheelchair for eight years or so, wasn’t it? And yet he’s able to move his legs and stand on them? let alone lift his body weight with his arms from the chair…dramatic, yes. Plausible, no.

I was disappointed with the ending, House taking that script.

Loved the bantering between the interns and between house and his buddy.

Not so sure about his buddy insisting on Cuddy keeping the secret.

I’m worried that House will be “jumping the shark” next week. I saw the preview for next week’s show, and it included a girl levitating.

And I’m in agreement that no way could that man who had been in a wheelchair for eight years have raised himself from the chair and stood on his own.

Lastly, while we did see House forging a prescription, we didn’t see him take the pills. There’s hope yet!

Did you think the female intern looked awfully thin??
Her arms were like twigs…I don’t recall her looking like that last season.

I also do not understand who dresses Cuddy…

She was very thin last year. Thing is she layered her, making her look thinner. I don’t prefer her new do.

I didn’t like the ending of the show. House going back to drugs because he was told over and over again that he wasn’t being scientific but caring in his decisions was terrible. The preview for the next show has the women intern discovering that House did heal the paralyzed guy afterall.

Super faaaan of House here!

After school and work we curl up with some snacks to watch an episode on our laptop.

I can’t get enough of it!

So what are the comments about last night’s show?

I was skeptical at first, with the previews and all…thinking that the writers were risking losing viewers by taking the alien direction, however, the story was fascinating!

What I loved most was the bantering…oh the one-liners were perfect - and the delivery among the ensemble of actors was flawless. I have to watch the episode again to pick up the dialogue I missed because my family and I were laughing too
much the first time.

I still don’t know what to make of his giving up though…what
do you all think? Did the treatment fail or is this all in his
mind, the result of his being more comfortable with the pain
he lived with for 8 years than facing a life with a different kind
of pain?

I too, like to sit with my husband to watch the show. It is the only show we watch.

Last night was much better than the first. I loved all the one-liners. Very funny show:yup: .

I’m not sure what to think of House and his leg. He’s taking drugs without anyone knowing and exercising? That will have to develop.

I loved how House could read the cancer doctor. I’m not sure where his, the cancer doctor, determination to save and convert House has come from. He seems to be playing the boss in these past two shows. Which unlike his character in the past.

I’m wondering if they’re going to have Dr. Wilson become the “bad” guy this season (kinda like Cutty was the “bad” gal last season)

Intereting perspective! Can’t wait to see if you are right. A good show alsways has an antagonist.

I watched the show.
Overall I liked it,
but I have to ask, is that House guy
always so bitchy and negative? That’s not a very
appealing characteristic to sustain in a series leading man…

I commented about this to my Mom.

She reminded me that Cameron was counting the days/months until the AIDS testing. I wonder if they are going to have her be sick and get more worried about the exposure.

Yes, he’s always like that! I could not stand the thought of watching an episode after seeing all the clips of his ascerbic “wit.” That beign said, once I watched an episode (which was good) I watched another. Now his “personality” cracks me up! What a miserable soul!

Did anyone see the show last week called:
Informed Consent

Aired ** 9/19/06

This is the one with the scientist who was working on rats at the start.

What do people think of this episode? Is this a case of assisted suicide? Did they make the right decision?

It does seem to be a case of assisted suicide to me. I wonder if it really is as common as they made it out to be. They said “it happens all the time” and “every doctor I’ve known has done it”.

I was disappointed by “Informed Consent.” I felt there were subtle biases toward euthanasia. The show definitely implied assisted suicide and I don’t think that was the right decision.

I haven’t seen many episodes, but I usually like the show. It was a bummer.
