I know coveting is a sin . . .except when it comes to a Dwight Schrute bobblehead . . .must have . . . must have.

I like the way that they’re handling the whole Michael Scott Paper Company story. Thursday’s episode was particularly funny, with the Dwight-Michael war (Spin Move!)

It is a very funny show.

My DH’s old glasses are just like Dwight’s glasses. My kids find this hilarious, but somehow, DH just doesn’t seem it is that funny…😃

I wonder if there will ever be a film version of the Office, and which series it would be based on or a Continuation of.

I think if they ever made one they’d go with the more well known American version because it would mean bigger bucks at the Box Office. But perhaps it would also Star at least in a cameo part, Ricky Gervais and one or two other characters from the British original… Definatly Gervais though and maby that guy who was in Hitchhiker’s Guide.

I have been a big fan of this show since the days of David, Tim and Gareth…

It was originally a great british comedy that I loved. I thought two seasons was pretty good and the story wrapped up nicely.

Then several years later, I got wind of NBC picking up the rights for an american version. OH NO! I thought, and was proven right by the first episode I saw… it was just a bland remake of the first UK episode with bad jokes(but the part where he fake fires someone for the first time was actually slightly funnier in the remake). But 7 years and seasons down the track, I love this version.

It has more fleshed out characters(especially Dwight and Michael’s nemesis Toby) and well written story arcs. It is a funny show. I don’t think there has been a better US remake of any foriegn show. I think the show was almost cancelled after the first few episodes, and I’m happy they didnt do that because in season 2 the show outgrew the original to finally make it on it’s own. I think season 5 was a bit patchy in terms of the season story arc going wild and a little confusing, but the rest of the show is great.

But I hope they wrap it up like the original version did in the end because that was pretty good.

I confess to having no familiarity with the original UK version, but I do enjoy the US version. From what I’ve heard and read, this upcoming season will be Steve Carell’s last one. It would seem that it would be time to end the show with his departure. If they can find a creative way to move forward, it could still be good, but it would be very difficult for them to pull it off.

The first few seasons it was on, the commercials for it made me think it was the dumbest show in the world. But after I sat down to watch it, I started to appreciate the humor much more.

The original version ended with David being fired, spending the next few episodes learning there’s life outside the office, and finally falling in love(in the final episode). Gareth takes over the office perminantly. I think that’s how they should end the US version too. With Dwight being promoted and michael getting fired, finding a new job as a bad stand up comic, then married to that holly girl he gets along with. Jim and Pam move to New York, her to continue art school and he gets promoted to the corporate job. Ryan takes over from Jim and Andy becomes his “Dwight” but in a diffrent way.

Meanwhile we find out that Creed was never formally employed and has simply been hanging around the office to cover up his real income(in the end credits scene), but no one ever noticed.

man that show is great…

I like it! You should email Greg Daniels. 😛

I do hope they are able to end “The Office” on their own terms. The worst thing that could happen would be for them to decide to go one more season after Steve Carell leaves, fail miserably, and then get cancelled right after the season finale (when they were expecting to keep going) thus giving no closure whatsoever.
