Twas the night before election only 4 years ago tonight and only the Parkinson’s mice were stirring….heck they always a stirring…that’s the way it is for many folks like myself who have Parkinson’s Disease. Sometimes, however we stir because we feel sorry for ourselves….why should we have the disease, why should our lives dissolve in front of our lives. Well maybe God allowed it to happen to test our resolve. I for one know he has tested mine.
Mind you for a good while there I wasn’t sending thank you notes to Jesus….but I did keep a prayin. Yep some of my praying was pretty distracted but I did keep a prayin. You see I am convinced I had protested the pro death stance on embryonic stem cell research (they support it by the way) only too well—to the point where it affected my medical treatment—that’s another story.
In any case I see the latest Parkinson’ magazine I got in the mail today highlights “EMBYONIC STEM CELL RESEARCH IS PRO – LIFE (INSERT… CHKL CHKL) BECAUSE IT CAN HELP SAVE NOT ONLY MY LIFE BUT MILLIONS OF OTHER AMERICAN’S LIVES AS WELL”
THAT IS WHAT THEY WOULD HAVE YOU BELIEVE….
A Little Catholic reverse guilt trip///misplaced compassion if you ask me…and I have had the disease, for better and for worse since 1994. Ya don’t have to kill your babies for my cure.
They are convinced these embryonic stem cells merely have to be injected where-ever and walla !!! A cure. From what I read, more likely a tragedy. How many cells do you inject and how do they know when to quite reproducing. The cells get where they are supposed to go and re-manufacture. At some point it may appear a cure but the baby stem cells don’t seem to know when to stop producing hence the tragedy.
If stem cells are the reason you are voting for a particular candidate and (misplaced) compassion is your reason…I would ask you to rethink. Please!!
Like I have said I have quite a few “been there…done it” T-shirts not all good, a few wires in my brain and quite a few stories I could tell but would rather not.
I have waited at least 10 years for the cure and can wait a bunch more… just leave the kids out of it…please

Can’t believe I have let the cat out of the bag again, so to speak but dog gone it if ya can kill the littlest for a cure ya cure can get rid a few of us oldies too….I’ll wait my turn dear Lord……not mine but thy will be done
