The size of a family is between two spouses and God. I must say I never cared what anyone else had to say on the matter, nor do I think it’s their business to offer (name removed by moderator)ut or opinions.

 …this is very hurtful…what about families that were not able to have children?
We are in that category… 😭

I’m so sorry, I actually felt hurt as well. It takes us a long time to conceive and we too don’t know the reason. I struggled with infertility for 4 years and again another 4 years and a miscarriage between two of my kids. Our community has very large Catholic families as well and I’m starting to feel like an outsider because of it. Some people often wonder if we use contraceptives or if something is “wrong” because we don’t have as many kids. Homeschool communities can be small and the hope is our children can fit in when they can. Just know that there are no mistakes with God and no broken people in God’s eyes. But man is corrupt, hurtful and self centered when they forget their virtues.

We are just starting out as a Catholic family and homeschool and I found two opposing Catholic views from two traditional catholic authors/families. Curious about people’s thoughts.

One blog “Feels sorry for small families.” The other thinks large families are arrogant and miss the point in God’s calling for us.

Blog 1: https://www.catholicstand.com/i-feel-sorry-for-small-families/
Blog 2: Arrogance of Large Church Families

Thanks.
Sounds to me like both of those authors are “arrogant”.
