Sometimes I meet laypeople in real life or I read some posters on here describe what kind of spirituality or mix of types they are.

How/where in the course of your life did you learn what the types are enough to know what suits you?

Has knowing your type changed anything from before you knew? If so how?

Many years ago I read the book, “Who We are is how We Pray: Matching Personality and Spirituality”, by Charles Keating.

The author basically uses personality type to show how people are drawn toward different types of prayer.

Myself, being an extrovert, he made sense in that I was attracted to quiet contemplative prayer.

Ironically, introverts are often drawn toward a more dynamic style of prayer like Charismatic Prayer.

Nothing is engraved in stone however and God will lead you were He wants you.

I’m not a sufi, but I have benefited from guys like Rumi. He was a prolific sufi poet and mystic. Rumi’s poetry often describes what I myself go through. It’s about loving God so much that everything else takes a back seat. When you see God in full in Jesus Christ, you realize that you don’t really need anything else.
