I love U2 too, but I need your imput. It has been claimed on a pro-life site that they are pro-aborts,is that true?If it is i am broken hearted.God Bless

bono is catholic, so i doubt it. but i haven’t heard definitively.

and yes - i LOVE their newest album. it’s so very christian - i mean, the last song is called ‘yahweh’!! it’s their most blatantly christian album since joshua tree.

i love u2. (gosh)

I never heard that Bono was Catholic. I did hear he was more of a bible Christian. Do you have a source on this? Did he say he was Catholic?

HELLO ALL
May The Lord Be With You !

NO WAY IS BONO PRO ABORTION,
PRO LIFE ALL THE WAY!!!

IRELAND GO BRAU 👍

I love all U2’s music especially for its passion and numerous lyrics including Christianity. And of course, all Bono’s good work for the suffering and AIDS epidemic in Africa! I’ve heard Bono was raised Catholic, and even have a picture on my computer of when he met with John Paul II in Rome. In fact, JP2 tried on Bono’s infamous sunglasses while he was there, and JP2 gave him a rosary with the papal cross which Bono had during a news interview on Fox News.

But, there have been several direct quotes from Bono in the magazine “Christianity Today” in which he professes no specific religious belief and says God could be found just as much during Mass as in the back of a tent revival. He does not attend any church regularly. I do so admire him for using his position for good and for bring God into his music, but like many out there today he neglects to see the importance of church worship and being in community with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

I have been a fan of U2 since Boy. I have never heard the where prolife of pro abortion. Edge has a few kids as well as Bono, Larry had one I think.
October is all religious, Gloria isn’t a woman read the lyrics
I try to sing this song
I, I try to stand up
But I can’t find my feet.
I, I try to speak up
But only in you I’m complete.
Gloria
In te domine
Gloria
Exultate
Gloria Gloria
Oh, Lord, loosen my lips.
I try to sing this song
I, I try to get in
But I can’t find the door
The door is open
You’re standing there, you let me in.
Gloria
In te domine
Gloria
Exultate
Oh, Lord, if I had anything, anything at all
I’d give it to you.
Gloria
In te domine
Gloria Gloria.
Every Alblum has at least one religious song but October has the most. With a Shout
Oh, and where do we go
Where do we go from here
Where to go
To the side of a hill
Blood was spilt
We were still looking
At each other
Oh, we’re goin’ back there
Jerusalem Jerusalem
Shout, shout
With a shout, shout it out
Shout…shout it out…
I wanna go
To the foot of the messiah
To the foot of he who made me see
To the side of a hill
Where we were still
We were filled
With our love
We’re gonna be there again
Jerusalem Jerusalem
Shout, shout
With a shout
Shout…
With a shout
And I can’t remeber which song it comes from but it goes "for the lamb of God for He who gave His life for me Is coming back, I believe Father…
