UK Euthanasia Activist Physician Thrown Out of Medical Council

LONDON, September 27, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Dr. Michael Irwin, former chairman of the UK- based Voluntary Euthanasia Society (VES), who was arrested on charges of conspiracy to aid a terminally ill patient kill himself in 2003, has been disciplined by the UK’s General Medical Council, which struck his name off the medical register.

Serves him just right. I don’t know how it affects his belief though. Does he consider himself is a “fallen hero” or any equivalent terms?
 
At 74 he’s retired anyway. I just bet the pro-euthanasia activists will hold him up as a victim, and he will try to justify his position by joining in a call for legalisation.
 
I was right, I see he said “I assure you I will continue to campaign to see a change in the law to legalise doctor-assisted suicide”
