Um, have any CAF members even bothered to check out the movie "Unpregnant"?

I saw the trailer, felt awful, then forgot about it. Too many other battles to fight than a movie that I don’t have to protest because theaters are still shut down

Why are we um-ing so much? Also I doubt it, it’s just HBO being its usual shocker-film self. And if PP did support it we’d definitely hear about that too.

I think the title is a misnomer. Someone a lot smarter than me once said that an abortion does not make you unpregnant. It makes you the mother of a dead baby.

Considering the fact that Cuties made it to Netflix, should it be any surprise that Unpregnant made it to HBO Max
Cuties is worse than Unpregnant (imo) because the former is actively harming people while the latter is a dumb movie about a horrible subject with a horrible take on it, so yea, it’s not a surprise I guess?

I don’t know. Pro choice stuff is so commonplace and is considered a mainstream and default stance nowadays. It’s not shocking that a pro choice film is on a site. I would be more shocked at a pro life film being accepted instead.

Pro choice sentiment is so common, one can’t expect us to get shocked every time a celebrity, a film, art etc condones it. We hate it as a general rule of thumb, obviously.

I’m with Irishmom. I don’t see what’s sarcastic about that.
Well, I do admit that the particular remark wasn’t sarcastic. However, does it often seem to you that Planned Parenthood has had a hand in practically everything pro-abortion? The organization is so freaking powerful!

Maybe you should stop wondering out loud about things you cannot provide a source for. Otherwise you are just gossiping about something that is off topic.

Your thread title seems to assume or imply that CAF members should bother to check out the movie. In what sense should we check it out? Watch the movie? Read the review? Borrow it from the public library?

I’m not a big movie fan. I don’t subscribe to cable, Netflix, or any TV or movie service. I’ve been to the movie theater roughly once in the last 5 years. Should I bother to check out Unpregnant?

Beryllos, if you can’t handle watching a movie that is morally offensive, then don’t bother watching such a movie.

Well, Beryllos, if you are unable to deal with your morality being offended, then no.

Father Dave Pavonka, President of Franciscan University of Steubenville was particularly disturbed by this film. He spoke about it the other night on EWTN News Nightly.

Who’s offended? Surely not I. I’m just trying to figure out what you expect of CAF members, that you speak of even bothering, and what you mean by the ambiguous term “check out.”

I heard about this on a talk show, I think it might have been Matt Walsh.
I’m not surprised a movie like this is made today. Abortion is the horse pill that every major entertainment company and network news company is attempting to shove down our throats until we all jump on board with killing children.

Does anyone remember Juno? I think I saw that in high school, so maybe about 12 years ago? Juno got pregnant unexpectedly and gave her baby shot at life by choosing adoption. Today we get movies about young girls going on a fun road trip to kill her baby.
