Currently I have been praying for over 6 months for a very special intention. .Almost daily I attend daily mass,communion, and pray the rosiery. I have prayed a number of novenas and continue to pray to the Blessed Mother and St Jude without results.

I find that the church and God my only true source hope yet I have been wavering as it is like there is an emptiness. God and his Blessed Mother have always answered me in the past but to date there is not even a sign. Is it a test or is it me ?

How do I keep my hope in my faith to sustain me during this dark time?

God grant us all the serenity
to accept the things we cannot change;
courage to change the things we can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as we would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if we surrender to His Will;
That we may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.

Amen.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.

Proverbs 3, 5-6

I, too, am struggling with a deeply desired intention that is not being answered as I would like. Remember, it is an ungranted request, not an unasnwered prayer. “Jesus I trust in You,” is my constant prayer. I pray that you will have a sense that God is with you and loves you during this time of trial and disappointment.

I will pray for your intentions, but more for your trust in God to be very strong if He is saying to you ‘no’…or…‘wait’. :byzsoc:

God answered your prayer. He either said no or is waiting for the right time. 🙂 I’ll pray for you!

God might have just said no. 🙂 I’ll pray for you too.

Is it a test or is it me?..It is both. A TEST FOR YOU! People that really follow the Lord eventually will have these “dry” episodes, deserts, darkness of the soul, etc. Mother Teresa of Calcutta talked about her struggle, during her days of spiritual darkness. Maybe you should take this time to read the lives of some saints that had spiritual dryness or darkness and at the same time keep good communication with a holy priest. Be patient, we don’t know the Lords’ plan for us, so it is best to not despair. The Lords’ watch is on a different time from ours, what is months for us, could be seconds for Him.

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls.”
“My Jesus, pardon and mercy, by the merits of Thy Holy Wounds.”

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

God is rich in mercy, full of compassion…Jesus have mercy!

I know what it feels like to be weary…
I have been praying for almost 2 years for my perfect job! I keep making wrong decisions and I am weary…extremely weary, but yet I still TRUST!

I have asked “God where are you?”
I have said “God I know there are bigger problems in the world than mine, but I need you…” I have cried out in desperation, yet nothing!
But I have learnt humility and patience along the way…and I know my prayers are as important as any other.
Patrick, never stop praying…because one day your life will be filled with tremendous JOY, because when he answers…he ANSWERS!
Be blessed, be patient and continue praying.
I have said many many many novenas, I have recited the rosary. I even started the Holy Ghost Rosary today…because of faith. Almost 2 years has passed and I believe my miracle is on its way!

Mother Mary, please intercede for Patrick, and in Jesus’ name, let his heart be free from doubt and uncertainty.
I humble myself to pray for your intention also; may he be blessed and lifted up today…and may his prayer be answered!

Try the Holy Ghost Novena (which was posted on this site by WOW).
Remember you are not alone. Talk to me anytime, if you wish!
Be Blessed.

Patrick W:

I’m praying for you but you have to have patience and you also have to understand that God may see your petitions diffrently than you.

PRayerfully,

Renato
