I posted a while back about my uncle here-forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=868439
He did get out of the hospital and nearly miraculously for the past month or so he has been feeling great, his test results had come back amazing, he was in good spirits, and overall his condition was unexplainably great. Just yesterday he was taken by ambulance to the hospital after he was shaking severely and had a high fever. It was determined last night that he had some sort of severe infection but they said it would be most likely be treatable. In the middle of the night his implanted defibrillator went off 6 times which caused him tremendous pain. The doctors rushed him to the cardiac cath lab and than the ICU. They have determined that the defibrillator did not misfire and that he does have an actual arrhythmia of an undetermined cause. He is in critical condition right now and they don’t think he is going to make it through this. A priest came and heard his confession and anointed him and I am going to pray before the Blessed Sacrament this afternoon. Please pray for him and us.

I pray God would correct your uncle’s arrhythmia and that he would pull through this. :signofcross:

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

I was just notified that they are ending all treatment and that he only has a few more hours…Please pray for all of us and most of all him, to connect with Jesus’ death and passion and that he may enter into the Lord’s loving hands.

Thank you

Thank you
I’m truly sorry for the sadness in your family.
Jesus please be with the family and Zooman’s uncle as he slips towards Your merciful welcome.

Lord, please draw this uncle through this matter and heal his every affliction, whether physical or spiritual, with your divine hand. Grant him and this whole family many graces for faith, hope, love, joy, and courage. Draw them close together in your Sacred Heart through this and all events in life. Lead them always by your light toward the eternal garden of life. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence,
I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother;
to you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.

O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy hear and answer me.

Amen.

Joining in prayer for healing of this severe and acute infection.
Lord, hear our prayers.

I just said a prayer for your Uncle and all of his family. God bless you.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Please Lord, grant this man the strength necessary to persevere through this battle. Help them to stay close to you and please help his family to pray unceasingly during this time.
