I know that Jesus says that he is the “Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, life and death” But does the Father God ever say that too? If not in the Old Testament then anywhere else in the Bible? I’m trying to make my sister understand that Jesus is God:confused: .

It is primarily a matter of faith - there is no “proof” for it in the sense that we define proof. We only see the reflections of belief in his divinity in the writings of people who experienced it or heard about it.

I have another question. In the beginning when adam and eve were taken out of the Garden of Eden, Was it Michael the Archangel who was the angel sent by God to escort them out with the burning or flaming sword? Also, can somebody explain to me Revelations 22:1-21 but mostly versus 1-11. My sister kind of made me think when she told me to read that passage and what she gets out of it was that it was referring to Jesus as an angel. later in that chapter in verse 13 Jesus refers himself as " the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End." I didn’t know how to respond because i didn’t understand it. HELP will be GREATLY appreciated:confused: !!!

Jn 10:38 - the Father is in me and I am in the Father
Jn 12:45 - whosoever sees me sees the one who sent me

DeFide has posted some nice passages.

A VERY thorough scriptural treatment of Jesus’s divinity can be found at:

If you are trying to explain the trinity use Saint Patrick’s example of the three leaf clover. Three leaves in one stem.

If you are trying to explain Jesus being fully human and fully God use… darn I am drawing a blank.

I’ll try to respond to the question of Jesus being an angel (the archangel Michael): The scriptures directly state that Jesus is not an angel. It’s in the first chapter of Hebrews:

Hebrews 1:5-6 For to which of the angels did he ever say “You are my son, today I have begotten you?” And again , “I will be a father to Him, and He shall be a Son to me”? And when again he brings the firstborn into the world, He says, " And let all the angels of God worship Him."
**Hebrews 1:13 **But to which of the angels has he ever said, “Siot at my right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet”?
Worship of angels is prohibited in Colossians 2:18, but Jesus accepts worship (John 20:28, etc.)

You mention the 22nd chapter of Revelation and there is an interesting parallel in there, just a few verses apart:
Revelation 22:6 … and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his bondservants the things
which must soon take place.
Revelation 22:16 I, Jesus, sent my angel to testify to you these things for the churches.

Jesus is not the angel. He sent the angel. I hope some of this helps.

I believe in John it says “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
