I’m an American living in Germany, and so I purchased a German/Latin diglot titled Schott Roman Missal , only to discover that the readings do not at all correspond to what every app/website/service says the daily readings are. Why is this ? The latest date inside the cover is 2018. So where/when/how is this missal used, and by whom ??
FTR, I know next to nothing about German language, and even less about German Missals.

But my bride speaks and understands some German, and used to occasionally travel there for her job. She once bought a Missal for her own use, and IIRC she made the following observations: (i) The Missal and calendar may vary from region to region within Germany (I do no know that this would affect the Sunday readings) and they are regionally printed to match, and (ii) It seemed to be common for Missals to be printed annually, rather than provide a “perpetual” book with more ribbons and page-flipping and whatnot.

Reminder: Everything I have written above may be misinformation.
