Understanding the Latin Mass

Yes, sometimes I get lost during the Latin mass, even with the books that have drawings of the priest bowing, etc…but what I love about the TLM is that the priest is facing the altar, as one of us, and his prayers are our prayers. I also love that Catholics of all languages are attending.

I have been to some English masses where the tone is very reverent but, in general, I notice more reverence at TLM by the priest and the congregation. Also more fellowship.

These are just my own observations. Not trying to add to any battles. I like both forms of mass. I wish there were no hostilities, we have enough in the secular world.

So just because YOU do not see liturgical dance, that means that it’s not really that big of a problem…We don’t afford an organist so we’re going to use this here my guitar instead of just using chant… The problem here is the priests who acts in the “Spirit of Vatican II” and the laity gobble it up like faithful puppies.

No one claims that the Novus Ordo is invalid, I personally attend the Novus Ordo celebrated Ad Orientem **(As it should be) **and a choir that sings polyphony and not secular music. (You also don’t need an organ to sing CATHOLIC hymns instead of secular music.)

You seem really angry.
It’s not a huge problem.
You see what you want to see.
I simply tire of the “we do it better than you” threads. They serve no purpose other than to start arguments. .
Who said anything about secular hymns?
If everything is peachy with you, then why attack others? You’ve never sung a traditional Marian hymn with a guitar? Really?
I’ll never understand this mentality. It’s not us vs. them you know.
We’re all Catholics. I’m not going to force my OF Mass on you…don’t try to tell me your experience is more valid than mine.
