Unexpected Gift 🎁

I received a very sweet act of kindness, today~

It’s kind of cold right now, in good ol’ Ohio, and I haven’t had time to get a new pair of gloves (Trying to be very frugal as I save for college, etc.).

Today as I was on break outside of the coffee shop, and talking with a coworker, an older customer walked up (A gentleman who was in the navy many, many years ago and who is a regular at the shop) stopped and took my hands,

“Your little fingers are like ICE.” (He looked so concerned- I felt bad because I don’t like people to worry! And I was fine, it wasn’t even that cold!) “We’ll have to fix that.”

He left, and minutes later he was back, with a pair of small purple gloves,
“I take care of all my grandbabies,” He said, “You remind me of one of my own.” And he handed me this pair of gloves

I was so touched I couldn’t speak for a second, afraid I’d cry! I could only hug and thank him, and just be filled with gratitude at all the wonderful people out there!

This world is filled with so many beautiful individuals~

Seemingly random acts of kindness show us there is Good in the world. I wonder if it isn’t the work of The Spirit helping us.

I definitely will~ And the next time he comes in, I’m gonna give him some coffee on the house ♫ as well as a freshly baked cookie! He made my day sunny, even on such a wintry, gray day.
