Knowledge itself will not give the power of conviction for the Faith in question, but an encounter with Christ will. Knowledge will speak about the Faith, but Faith itself is a “supernatural gift of grace” given by the Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ. The knowledge must receive personal confirmation, the work of the Holy Spirit. Only God knows how to move one to accept the tenants of the Faith, and all we can do is to “predispose” one to receive it and pray for it. If one has the Faith, even the advancement in it is a “supernatural grace.”

Thank you for this. I have read extensively on Catholic teaching from non biased views or Catholic views and that has helped me understand the differences and similarities. I will continue to read more.
