SASKATOON, March 6, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - For the second time in as many weeks, a Canadian university newspaper has published cartoons offending Christianity which make the cartoons from Denmark offending Islam pale in comparison.

The University of Saskatchewan student newspaper, The Sheaf, has published a cartoon depicting Jesus performing oral sex on a pig with the caption reading, “Go on, it’s ok, it’s kosher if you don’t swallow”. The decision to publish the outrageously offensive “Capitalist Piglet” cartoon comes after the same newspaper refused to print the cartoons mocking Mohammed out of respect for Islam.

Well God allows Satan to go around and mock and defy Him. Should we persecute these people beause they mock their only hope of salvation? What use to their souls if they have these ideas in their heads anyway. Some people will never learn and I think we should let free speech be.

It seems that for the Western Media, the only acceptible haressment is against Christians and it is ok to insult God as long as it is the Christian God.

Kildare. It is completely irrational to claim the students who perpetrated this blasphemy are themselves victims of “persecution.” This is a blatant example of bigotry and hatred. God fearing people rightly exercise their “free speech” when they protest this bold assault on the dignity of their Saviour. It is not only a right; it is a duty. If we are ashamed to defend Our Lord in the public square then we fail to love God with our whole heart, our whole mind, our whole body and our whole soul. After what He suffered for us writing a couple of emails is the least we could do.

Hi Rosalinda,

I don’t mean that the students are being persecuted, however if we “shut them up”, we will only create infelt resentment. Sure we can also use our free speach, but in my opnion its time to move up a level, as an adult would ignore the taunts of a 4 year old. Its probably the only thing that will work with them.
