I thought this was an interested article. I’ve taught Uncle Tom’s Cabin in literature classes. For anyone who has not read it, it is really good and worth reading. It is deeply Christian, for one thing. Stowe did more, it is said, to end slavery by her novel, which was an all-out bestseller, than the political efforts of her day. The book worked on the heart, which changed minds. When Lincoln greeted her at the White House, he said, “so this is the little lady that caused this great war.”
The article suggests the film Unplanned may have a similar role in the issue of abortion–putting a human story and face on what has too often been for some a theoretical matter. Let’s pray God it does so, even as God used Uncle Tom’s Cabin to do good in a time when Americans were fiercely divided.

Is ‘Unplanned’ the ‘Uncle Tom’s Cabin’ of Our Era?
COMMENTARY: The parallels between the two are too interesting to ignore.
