I recently refound my faith. I pray the rosary almost everyday. When I pray the rosary I get many different sensations from a tingling sensation between my brow to burning hot hands or pain in the centre of my hands to all over pain in my body. It’s not really exclusive to any particular mystery set but is intensified in the Sorrowful Mysteries. I don’t really know where to find an answer to this strange happening of events.

If you only have these pains and sensations whilst praying the rosary they are likely something to do with praying the rosary.

As Cloisters says, sympathy pains, or empathy pains I would guess.

I’ve got nothing physically wrong with me. I’m a perfectly healthy teenager. I don’t believe it would be anything psychosomatic as any issues or stress that may cause that physical reaction I no longer have.

If you’re pain is due to empathy then it would be described as psychosomatic. That’s not insulting at all, it’s fine.
God bless.

Prolly sympathy pains.
I get aches in my hands when I meditate on the Passion.

But then again, if I’m reading a fictional book and the character gets a headache I get one too.

The simplest answer is usually the right one. 🙂

It just seems like more. I don’t know I just feel out of my body anyways when I pray. Like I am being pulled just outside of my skin and floating there.
