I am being inundated with e-mails fro posters on this forum. make them stop.
This new web is horrible. How do I remove my name from this forum.

Look under profile → preferences → Email:

The above are the settings I use and I’ve received 1 email in the past week because I received a private message.

I think the problem is the notifications on this new board somehow defaulted to sending notification e-mails, when we weren’t set up on the previous board to get them. I was taken aback by finding a lot of stuff in my mail box too until I figured out how to turn off the email using the preferences.

Curious. On the previous system, I received immediate email notifications for additions to all threads to which I’d posted, but on this board, I don’t get those email unless I explicitly request them.

That is very strange.
