My original post: No Communion until absolution?
I so thank this Priest for giving me a “real” confession and not just go through the motions and send me on my way, as so many others have done. When I walked into that Confessional, I expected the usual, and had no intention of changing my lifestyle, but he didn’t let me give a vague overview and move on. He stopped me at every sin and asked, “How many times”? What are you doing to change it?,etc. He couldn’t grant me absolution, because I was continually living in a state of sin with my live-in girlfriend. Thank God for him who woke me up.
