Here is the original thread: forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=155548&highlight=kids+going+on+visitation

I am just asking for continued prayers. The kids dad is reconciling with his wife. He promised the kids that they would never have to go to her house or be with her and that if they did get back together, for they are separated for now, when it came time for visitation he would get a hotel room. Well, he talked with Marissa and told her yesterday that they are “dating” and that she need to learn to accept his wife and will have to go over there if he moved back in. She got off the phone and cried and cried. She said she will never trust her dad again for everytime she does, he lies. She told her mom, “He is such a liar!”

Please pray that this man, for the sake of the kids, does not reconcile with his current wife. She is an evil woman and is emotionally disturbed. She put the kids through so much that was not necessary. They suffered emotional and physical abuse at her hands alone. This marriage is not even a Sacramental one for he is her third husband and he has not gotten an annulment from his marriage with my sister yet.

Please pray that what is best for the kids is done. He is a different man, more of a loving father, without this woman. The kids can’t stand this woman. Marissa now still deals with depression and Luis with anger, even though he is better at dealing with it now.

Our entire family is praying that he does not go back to this woman for than the nightmare begins again of court dates and forcing the children to his house for visitation. Currently, he comes to see them at my sister’s house and they don’t spend the night anywhere with him.

Thanks for your prayers.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Hi Nana,
I will keep you all in my morning prayers at Mass this morning.

Oh Nana i am so sorry to hear this, i thought all was going well, still praying for you all, let us know how it goes :gopray2:
Unfortunately, the dad went back to his second wife or at least he is spending the nights there. He goes weeks without calling the kids and visiting them. Marissa is so confused on her feelings. She gets upset if he calls and upset if he doesn’t. She calls him and wants to see him, but when he finally gets around to it, she acts like she doesn’t want him there. She is very upset, he went back to his wife. He is not paying child support again. He only paid $50.00 for the entire month of April. He is suppose to pay $950.00 plus $50.00 for child support of the past. I told my sister to apply for assistance from the State of Florida and let them go after him for the child support. She is going to try.

Anyway, the summer is coming and if he is back with his wife, he may insist on having the kids for half the summer, that is his right. But then the child abuse starts again. Please keep praying that he won’t force the kids on visitations anymore.

“Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls.”
“My Jesus, pardon and mercy, by the merits of Thy Holy Wounds.”

Praying for this family …

Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Thanks so much for your prayers. For now the kids are safe always with their mother. Their dad called this morning and spoke with my sister to tell her that he was fired from his job and won’t be able to pay any child support. Well, he was not paying much, but still he needed that job. He got fired for calling in to much for he wanted to care for his wife at home. He also gave her some other excuses, but she doesn’t believe him. I told her to please file for government help and they will go after him for it is always something. He told her that he was going to try to go back to police work. WE think he got fired from his other jobs as well, but he won’t say anything. I think the Lord is working on him, even in all this “bad luck” as he calls it.

Keep praying and thanks.

Dear God, please do not allow this situation to linger and cause more harm to this family. Please work out everything for the welfare and security of the children.
May Your will be done in this family. Surround them with God’s angels.

I feel so bad in asking all of you to continue to pray for this family, but it seems that things are not much better. It is better in that the dad is not taking the kids on visitations at his house anymore, but now we are so worried over Luis, the 8 year old. As you know from my many updates, Luis suffers from anger. He has sensory integration problems and is receiving biofeedback or nerve stimulation of the brain. Anyway, he was to get 45 treatments and should be better. He has received all that amount and continues to get very angry for no good reason. I fear that he has some psychiatric problem, but my sister refuses to think so. Today he was very violent toward my mom and almost put his little cousin, who is 2 in danger. My parents have a gate and allow the kids to play in the front while the gate is closed. My nephew, Luis, went and opened the gate and was trying to get my 2 yr old nephew to come out to the street. My niece was home from school, Marissa, and got my mom’s attention. My mom told him to close the gate and come back. Well, he does what he wants and didn’t listen. He ran across the street to my other sisters’ house. There he started to talk violently to my sister, who has a nervous condition herself, and my mom. He threw rocks at them. He told my sister that he wished he had his bat to hit her over the head so that it would crack and she would die. He loves my sister but when he gets into the 'anger mode" he says these terrible things. I was once there when he was like that and I talked to him. His thinking process in not normal and very irrational. You can’t reason with him. I talked with his mom and told her that I was concerned for he sounded very abnormal and I thought she should get him evaluated by a psychiatrist not a behavioral therapist. She thought I was over reacting and said that she was tired of everyone in the family telling her there is something wrong with her son. I think she is living in denial. Personally, if he was my son, I would have had a priest pray over him years ago and even do an exocism prayer. She won’t do that and said it would be negative.

Anyway, please, please pray for a cure of his mind for my little nephew, Luis. I always thought Marissa was the worst of the two for she holds everything in, but Luis is getting worse with his anger. Something is not right. All his Occupational therapist say is that they need to do 5 days of therapy and not the 2 days a week that they have decreased it too. It is $200.00 a session and my sister can’t do 5 days and anyway, the amount of sessions they said we should see an improvement has passed.

Please pray for Luis. He needs a miracle. This whole family needs him to get better. My sister is getting worse with her nervous condition. My dad has post traumatic syndrome from the war and can’t handle him at times. My mom gets nervous and very upset. My sister, the mother of the boy, doesn’t see the damage this little boy is doing to all of them. She won’t consider putting him on a mild medication. She is stubborn. My mom and sister said that if he continues like this, she will have to quit her job and take care of him herself so that she can see how it is 24 hours a day. She only gets him after work at 6 pm and he goes to bed at 9 pm. She does have him over the weekend and sees how horrible he can be, but somehow, is in denial of what needs to be done. Please pray for her to do what is best for her child and forget about pride. If her son has a mental illness, she should not be ashamed of it. I know it gets to her how as she put it all of us, the rest of her sisters, “have perfect children.” So I know she gets jealous.

Pray for Luis to be able to be heal from his anger and irrational thinking. Pray for Marissa’s depression. Pray for their mom to have love and patience with them for she suffers from a short fuse herself. Pray that the dad will give child support. We need all of your prayers. May the Lord bring this family to your mind often and when he does, please pray for them. Thanks so much.

Lord God, Who has graciously chosen Saint Dymphna to be the patroness of those afflicted with mental and nervous disorders, and has caused her to be an inspiration and a symbol of charity to the thousands who invoke her intercession, grant through the prayers of this pure, youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all who suffer from these disturbances, and especially to those for whom we now pray, Marissa, Luis, their mom and dad, Nana and her mom and dad.

We beg You to accept and grant the prayers of Saint Dymphna on our behalf. Grant to those we have particularly recommended patience in their sufferings and resignation to Your Divine Will. Fill them with hope and, if it is according to Your Divine Plan, bestow upon them the cure they so earnestly desire. Grant this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
