Update: Prayers are working! Thank you so much!

Hello everyone

It’s been a while since I last posted. A lot of things have been going on in my life and it got a bit hard at times, but I wanted to share with you some good news

Some of you may have read a couple of my threads where I asked prayers to discern my relationship with my boyfriend. There were basically 4 issues that needed to be adressed:

1. His ideas that marriage “ruined” relationships. We had an open and honest conversation about this. He does want to get married but was feeling a bit scared because of his parents situation (long story short, his dad had an affair a long time ago and even another son from another woman) and seeing them emotionally detached hurt him very much.

2, Children. He was bullied at school and sometimes he can feel a bit nervous around children. He has said in the past that he wants a family, I guess this is something that he needs to heal.

1. Porn. I kinda had the feeling that he watched it, but it all came to reality when I saw in his search bar 2 porn sites.

Long story short, we talked about it, it has been so hard but the Blessed Mother has helped him so much. I had been praying Rosaries before talking to him about this (I had already planned to do so but I guess God had different plans and things just happened sooner) and he enrolled himself in Reclaim (a catholic porn addiction online recovery program) and he’s also reading Matt Fradd’s book “Delivered” that I gave him as a gift.

He’s also a craddle catholic who strayed from faith. Little by little, I see that God has started to work in him so now I just have to keep praying and alert to what God may want to tell me. Reclaim uses a lot of biblical references along with science and behavior change.

I’ve had factual confirmation and in prayer that at least, for this moment, this relationship is good in the eyes of God. I know that my boyfriend’s conversion is on the way. What the future holds, only the Lord knows and I pray to know and accept His will.

I want to thank you very much for your prayers and to know that you’re also on mine. Prayers DO work, and specially the Rosary .
