Urbi et Orbi Blessing from the Pope

Hello all, I had a question:

The Urbi and Orbi blessing applies to people, but does it also bless religious articles held by the person ?

How and exactly when does a religious article become blessed by the pope ?

What about those sitting at home watching it on tv or hearing it on the radio ? If they can be blessed as people, then what items would be blessed around them ? I would suspect nothing, or else their clothes, the chair they are sitting in, etc. would also be blessed…where would one draw the line on objects blessed ?!

A priest told me that religious articles are not blessed through a papal blessing given on live TV or radio even if it is live.

The blessing on the people can only have a spiritual effect if the person listened to or watched the blessing live and not as a re-run.

I am not sure if Urbi et Urbi includes religious articles.
