please pray for me this week… my divorce is going to be finalised tomorrow and i have this horrible urge to cry… i have not been crying for a while now… and i know this will go away too… please keep me in your prayers as i go through this difficult time…

Nothing wrong with crying. If that’s what it takes to prevent bottling it inside yourself, it would be healthier to release it, I think. 😉

Of course I’ll be praying for you. Divorce is such a horrible matter. It takes me months to collect myself after a simple break-up and divorce is such a many times worse thing. But it will probably be for the better, won’t it?

I just prayed for you now…

Just realized we can pray for others whom we don’t necessarily know personally, just the thought of somebody needing to be prayed for…

God bless.

i dont know about better chevalier… as we know that divorce is not according to God’s will… but i have come to terms with that part of it…

thank you everyone… i love you guys for everything… all your prayers your encouragement…

God Bless…

Tears are normal - you are at the beginning of a new phase of your life, leaving an old one behind. Good, bad, or indifferent - it is a major life change for you. Let yourself grieve the past, it is part of the healing process of moving on to the future.

Praying for you.

Granted, I don’t know your situation, but in so far as the alternative is living with an abusive person or in a marriage which is not valid, or whatever other bad thing, then it’s better to be done with it. 😉

I’ve heard that tears are toxic – It’s good to get them out of your system. Go ahead and cry when it feels right. Spend some time praying when it feels right. And don’t forget the healing effects of a pint of chocolate ice cream.

I’m praying for you too. God bless you.

i actually had baskin robbins yesterday… but did not buy a pint … its amazing how you said that… you must have read my mind… 😉

Ice cream in all forms is good during a divorce, esp. on the day of finalization.

I am still praying, Mariam…

Mariam–keeping you in my prayers that the Holy Spirit will come to comfort you in your time of need. Remember, God has a plan for us all. You’ll get through it.👍

thank you so much OutinChgoburbs…

I see God’s grace in everything… so this is leading me to something better… I know it in my heart… 😦

I’m praying for you Marian. And, as others have said, it’s ok to cry. It really does make you feel better, even if it’s a little, after you’ve had a “good cry”.

And I agree - ice cream as well as a nice hot cup of velvety, rich European real hot chocolate with peppermint marshmallows that melt in your mouth and homemade whipped cream will always have wonderful soothing effects. 😃

wow u guys… hot chocolate sounds so good… i wanted to get marshmallows for so long now… i will be doing that asap!!! didnt do it as i knew that i would just end up putting on more weight!!! trying to lose 10 pounds right now…

i have had this feeling of my tears stuck in my throat for quite a while now… so I know that there are more tears coming in the evening… someone on this forum had told me that this would happen when the divorce was being finalised… i thought i was over it…

You can always eat a ton of chocolate and then exercise yourself into near-passing out, so it balances each other out. That’s probably a good stress relief. Jogging and whatnot, if not actually the really strenuous things. Good circulation is important in difficult times. 😉

Mariam, honey, quit second-guessing yourself about this. You did the right thing, and it is what you had to do, hard as it is. It is going to hurt for quite awhile. Cry when you need to do so!

It is BE GOOD TO MARIAM WEEK, and you have to be the best to Mariam- after all, you are Mariam!
