(saints, devotional items, prayers, miracles, articles on autism, poems, panic attack management, educational items and more).

**Novena to St Philomena the Wonder Worker for the healing of autism: **

Each person (who has autism) whose name is sent to be included in this novena, will be prayed for regularly by a priest of Lourdes, France at the grotto. Only the first name of the person is needed for the purpose of this novena. Everyone is invited to send names: parents, grandparents, teachers, doctors, aunties, therapists etc.

**The powerful intercession of the Holy Souls in Purgatory for their
benefactors: **

The web page has accounts of the intercession of The Holy Souls in Purgatory, for their benefactors in cases of illness, addictions, cars that won’t start, infertility problems, protection in accidents, their help for people who are experiencing major trouble with city councils, success with projects, finding lost property and trouble with relations, etc. and prayers and ideas on how to help The Holy Souls in Purgatory.

Praying for God’s will to be done in the elections and that pro-life issues become prominent in future elections and that Australians Choose Life.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Unfortunately it’s infinitesimally unlikely that the new Aus govt will be pro-life. It’s a virtual certainty that either the Labor Party or the Liberal/National coalition will form the govt. Both are essentially neutral on life issues and allow a conscience vote although Labor’s policy platform is pro-abortion they don;'t force this on their members.

And many of us are in “safe” House of Reps seats which will almost certainly go to the party which currently holds the seat.

However there is one powerful pro-life thing you CAN do tomorrow if you are in NSW:

There are 4 sitting senators who are standing for re-election. In the last parliament there were two “conscience votes” where senators did not vote along party lines:

Sen Ursula Stephens (ALP) voted against chemical abortions (the “RU486” amendment). Senators Helen Coonan (Lib), Kerry Nettle (Green) and Marise Payne (Lib) all voted in favour. During the debate Nettle entered Parliament House wearing a T-shirt with a prominent offensive anti-Catholic slogan.

Stephens and Coonan voted against cloning human embryos and performing lethal “experiments” on them. Nettle and Payne voted in favour. Nettle sarcastically said in the debate “Unlike some others here I don’t think every human sperm and egg and embryo is a human being” (Nobody had ever suggested that sperms and eggs are human beings.)

Sen Stephens is one of the few women who have managed to be preselected as ALP candidates and elected without being a member of “Emily’s List”, the factional machine which financially and otherwise supports and promotes women Labor candidates who have signed a pledge which includes a guarantee that they will always vote in favour of abortion etc. However despite being the ALP’s only sitting NSW senator standing for re-election, the anti-life faction pressured the party bosses to demote her to the risky #3 spot on the ticket.

Coonan, John Williams, Mark Arbib and Doug Cameron are virtually certain to be elected. The remaining 2 seats will probably be fought out between Nettle, Payne and Stephens.

SO:
  1. Vote “BELOW THE LINE” on the Senate paper. Yes it takes a couple of minutes longer, but don’t let the parties decide how YOUR preferences are distributed!;
2.Vote “1” Ursula Stephens and put Nettle and Payne last and second last. Or at least make sure you put Stephens ahead of Payne and Nettle.

If you live in another State or Territory, probably similar choices apply among your senate candidates. Look up the “Australian Christian Lobby” website. They have a list of which senators voted for and against cloning and abortion. Remember, if just ONE Senator had changed his vote, the horrific human cloning bill would have been defeated.

Thanks for your prayers, non-Aussies! I’m sure they will help. 👍

The polling booths here in South Australia will close soon and by 10pm tonight we should know the results of this important Federal Election. May we have chosen, Lord, that government that is in accord with Your Will. Amen…

Thank you everyone for your prayers for the outcome of the Australian election.

I had hoped for a better outcome, but I will pray that the government which we now have will govern well according to God’s laws.

Praying for our new Labour Government and that it will govern Australia with Justice and in accord always with God’s Will. Praying especially for Keven Rudd, our new Prime Minister…

Remember Most Loving Virgin Mary
that never was it known
in any age
that anyone
who fled to your protection
impolored your help or sought your intercession
was abandoned.
Inspired with confidence therefore
we fly to you, Virgin of Virgins, and our mother
to you do we come and before you we stand
sinful and sorrowful.
Do not, Mother of The Word Incarnate,
despise our prayers
but graciously hear and grant them. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers, which have been answered!

Senator Ursula Stephens was re-elected in the fifth NSW Senate seat. The pro-abortionist bigot Kerry Nettle has been defeated and will depart the Senate. The sixth seat went to Marise Payne, but at least she is better than Nettle.

In further good news:
It had been predicted that overall the Greens would hold the balance of power in the Senate. (Though the Greens have some praiseworthy policies on issues such as refugees, war, poverty and the environment, they also have several objectionable polices such as those which are pro-abortion, pro-same-sex-“marriage”, anti-prayer and anti-religious education.)

It now seems all but certain that to pass legislation through the new Senate, the new Government will require the support of not only the Greens but also the strongly pro-life and pro-family Family First senator, plus the anti-gambling, pro-States’ rights campaigner Nick Xenophon (who seems to be a fence-sitter on pro-life issues).

The pro-pornography and generally pro-abortion etc Democrats, who had 4 senators in the last Parliament, didn’t even come close to winning a single seat in the new parliament.

Our new Prime Minister Kevin Rudd was raised as a Catholic. He and his family attend an Anglican church, though he claims despite this “I’ve never left Rome”. Like the outgoing PM John Howard, he voted pro-life on the two conscience votes, but both of them left it till the 11th hour to declare their positions on the issues and made no apparent attempt to persuade their party colleagues on the issues.

Thank you for all that info…I have not caught up with the Senate result as yet. Time now to pray dailyh for Kevin Rudd and our new Labour Government…I did not know that KR was raised Catholic and will be praying he will return to the practise of his Faith.

Indeed - prayers for the new government.

Here’s hoping that the Senate will at least contain sufficient pro-lifers (Family First members or pro-life Independents) that Labor doesn’t automatically get its way should it choose to pursue pro-choice policies.
