You may have seen my earlier post (a few weeks ago) requesting prayers for RCMom, who had been admitted to the hospital with ruptured membranes at 31(I think) weeks. Well, she delivered a beautiful baby girl on Saturday, 9/17, and the baby weighs 1lb 12 oz. Please pray for this tiny little blessing and her parents (and family). I’m told that in spite of her weight and being premature, she is a fighter. Please pray that she will do well and be perfectly healthy.

Thanks so much.

Praying for mom, dad and baby. Also, does the hospital offer moms with babies in the NICU someone to talk to—such as a mom who has been through this before? This is going to be a roller coaster ride for the family, so mom and dad will need all the emotional support and prayers they can get.

I’m not sure. I’ll suggest it. Thanks!

my prayers are with mom dad and baby. My daugther was born at 31 weeks, and boy it was a roller coaster of emotions. She is know 6 years old on the 9th of October. She does have CP but other than that she is healthy.

God Bless you :gopray2: :gopray2:

My twin girls were born at 32 weeks. They didn’t have many of the problems related to normal premies except for the low birth weight. They are seven now and I just told them about this posting. We all said a prayer sitting right here at the computer. Bless your friend and her family and bless my two little angels for their compassion!

I really hope RCMom gets a chance to look at this thread some time, because you moms of premies would be great for her to talk to. Thanks for your prayers!

Thank you all so much for your prayers. Please keep RCMom and her baby on your prayer list for a while, because it will be a long road for them. I don’t know if the baby has any serious health issues (other than being a premie); I think right now they are just concentrating on helping her to survive.

THanks again so much.

We will pray for them daily, and from now on. Such a tiny, little blessing.

As the father of 8 year old twin girls who were born at 28 weeks (1.5 and 2.5 pounds), I have personally witnessed what prayer can do in situations like this. They will all be in my prayers.

God Bless,
Gary

I have friend whose daughter was born at 25 weeks and this was 16 years ago when micro’s were so unknown.

The 16 yr old is healthy and, Lord have mercy on us all, driving!

Seriously, this young woman wears glasses, so does her dad, but besides a little asthma is quite normal and wonderful.

My prayers are will RC mom and her baby, et al.

Thank you all again so much for your prayers. I ask you to continue to pray for them, especially hard, as life is about to become even more challenging for RCMom and her family.

Apparently the baby had to be re-intubated (that always breaks my heart to see tiny little ones with tubes down their fragile throats) due to low oxygen levels, and is struggling. RCMom’s other two children (2 kids, 2 & under) are coming home from her parent’s after a month away, and her husband is returning to work. Within a week she will face looking after her two elder kids, hubby at work (his schedule is rather demanding, from what I understand) and being away from the new baby, who is still in her pod at the NICU. I don’t know how she is going to do it, but I am told she is holding up incredibly well.

So I thank you for your prayers, and ask you to please continue to pray for them, with even more fervor. I especially thank all you parents of premies whose comments are particularly inspiring and hope-sustaining for RCMom and her husband.

God bless you all.

Thank you for the update, what a very difficult situation. I will keep praying.
