URGENT prayer request

Good morning!

My wife and I raise our 8 yr old Granddaughter. The child’s mother abandoned her several years ago. (Drug problems, other criminal activity, etc), My wife and I have petitioned the court for legal guardianship of her, and it’s been draining to say the least.

Today we go to court for judge’s decision…we were investigated by the county and passed with flying colors, and we’re hoping and praying that the judge concurs with the investigator’s report that we be made her permanent legal guardians.

We ask for your prayers and petitions to God that God will allow us to continue to give the little one a happy, safe and normal life.

Thank you so much, and I will post here after we return from court today. God bless all of you! 🙂

I returned to God and his Catholic Church last month, and yesterday I took the little one to Mass…her first time! She wants to go back. 🙂
Her name is Luna, please pray that she becomes a Saint! 🙂
 
Welcome back home --I’m a convert myself, having come home nine years ago. I will pray for little Luna --sounds like she’s off to a great start:)

I am so glad you want to introduce her to the faith, she will need God’s love to help her as she comes to understand why mommy abandoned her. Just please let her know that mommy is ill and let her be proactive in praying for her mommy to get better.
 
I will pray also. I know the pain and struggles your granddaughter and you face all to well. My husband abandoned his children 3 years ago on my son’s 8th birthday. He has never been heard from since.

It is a difficult struggle but God will help you through this time - and hopefully the judge will agree.

I will remember you in my prayers.
