Use GOODSEARCH To Raise Funds For Catholic Answers

Let us all say a prayer for Catholic Answers in their financial difficulties at this time and that their wonderful ministry will always be able to carry on.

I just want to use this thread to inform people about GOODSEARCH.com

It’s a search engine, powered by Yahoo!, that provides high quality search results and generates funds to a charity of your choice from the revenue generated by the ads on the search results pages.

This is an excellent way to raise funds for Catholic Answers at NO COST to you.

One search on Goodsearch will raise 1 penny for your chosen charity.
It doesn’t sound like much, but over time, you will soon raise a decent amount of money which will be received by Catholic Answers at the end of the year.

Have you ever thought of all the times that you’ve performed a search on Google? Now image if that could be translated into funds for Catholic Answers!

Also, the more people that search, the more funds will be generated.

At any time you can change the charity you are searching for to (e.g. the Standupgirl Foundation providing support to teens and women considering abortions) and at any moment change back to supporting Catholic Answers.

What you need to do:
  1. make Goodsearch.com your homepage
  2. enter “Catholic Answers” after clicking the Get Started button
  3. spread the word on social networks, email, etc. to get as much people as possible to raise funds for Catholic Answers
 
I’ve just signed up and so far $782.07 for Catholic Answers has been raised. Here’s to much searching and much more money for this wonderful forum.

At the moment, I’m struggling financially too, so I can’t donate to the site, and so this will help me ‘do my part’ to help this wonderful place where I’ve learned so much.

Excellent post. I had never heard of this, and am using it from now on for CAF
 
Sounds good.But how can be sure that the money is paid CAF?
 
Thanks for this post. I have started using this with CAF as my chosen charity. Yes I agree that CAF should make this a sticky so that others can see it.

What I’m doing on my iPod is to bookmark it and put the bookmark up at the top of the lost. It’s a slight bit of effort, a few nanoseconds longer, but it seems like a good use of the time and effort 🙂

The site is genuine. You can be sure Catholic Answers will get the money raised at the end of the year.

The site has been featured in Forbes, the Oprah show (although people shouldn’t be watching this show–its very secular), New York Times, etc.

$905.69 has been raised… I’m sorry to say only $4.73 of that was by me… maybe if we bump this thread up and spread the word we can raise even more?
