Ok, so one thing I thing God is calling me to big time, is evangelism. But I don’t really know how to do this practically. I must work. I am also married. Protestants have things like Gospel tracts. There are also programs (like The Way of the Master, which is anti catholic in slant as it happens) that teach folks how to evangelize. Now, I’m not talking about apologetics. This, I would say is a part of evangelizing. I’m talking about actually going out to actively share one’s faith. Prosalytizing is another word for it I think. What method would I use? How would I do this?!

Pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance for your vocation.

One way is to physically help the poor & sick by visiting in hospitals, running errands & helping in shelters or soup kitchens.

The best lessons are taught without words but by example.

As we do for them we do for him.

As St. Francis of Assisi might have said “Preach the gospel at all times – If necessary, use words.”

If you want training in how to do Way of the Master type evangelism but from a Catholic perspective, I recommend you look into St. Paul Street Evangelization – streetevangelization.com. They have an online program that teaches you how to evangelize, and you can print out Gospel tracts or tracts about common questions and fold them and take them along. It’s a very good program that is growing daily.

Here’s a Catholic Group which can help give you ideas.

streetevangelization.com/

St. Paul Street Evangelization is a grassroots, non-profit Catholic evangelization organization, dedicated to responding to the mandate of Jesus to preach the Gospel to all nations by taking our Catholic Faith to the streets.

As well, it would benefit you to read Ephesians 6:10-20 and commit it to heart. You’ll need it!!!

Great job by you for being open to God’s calling!

Thanks! Huge amount of resources here. I’m definitely gonna check out a lot of that big list and street evangelization. Thanks. Again!

Hi,
I too felt the urge to evangelize.
I have set up a website for this purpose.
www.catholicprayergroup.net
Please visit us to get some idea of what is possible. It is easier than you think.
This is my suggestion for you as well.
God bless!

Hey how come that St. Paul Street Evangelization isn’t on your list!?
I only just recently heard of them and know little about them so far.

We have some Fundamentalist street evangelists around here already so I don’t know that that would work well around here, but I’ll certainly look into it. 👍
