Yours in Christ Jesus
The story was on The Drew Mariani Show, Relvent Radio last night. Dr. Mayer Eisenstein is a graduate of the University of Illinois Medical School, the Medical College of Wisconsin School of Public Health, and the John Marshall Law School, was his guest. The only reason a vaccination would be made from “aborted fetal tissue” would be as a ridiculous effort to prevent pregnancy. Sounds like propaganda from a bored high school student.
That is how they are justifying this…they say the tissue was harvested (like it was corn) back in the 60’s … before Roe v. Wade. But it opens the door to more and more. We do have the right (in 48/50 states) to refuse the vaccines on religious ground.I think CAtholics and the pro-life movement should lobby for legislation to prevent all “medical” uses of aborted fetuses. The vaccines developed using old stem cell lines are okay to use because you did not participate in the original evil act that obtained the stem cells, and a proportionate good has arisen out of an evil act long ago, that the current users did not take part in. If a man is murdered, is it morally permissible to accept his heart or kidney as an organ recipient. Yes because neither you nor the transplant doctors participated in the evil act that killed him. You are accepting God’s hand in finding good out of an evil act.
They no longer use any form of the aborted babys from the 1960s. They are just using that particular strain today. The moral logic is sound to use them, in fact I would say it would be a sin not to.As to using stem cells from aborted babies (the more I think about it - referring to aborted baby being as fetal tissue is stepping on the slippery slope. It is a baby.) I do not see it as the same circumstance as above. By accepting medical treatments and procedures involving aborted babies, you are a co-conspirator in the sin of abortion as well. Yes, it is true that God permits evil to happen as it is by our own free will that evil is committed. However, He does not use the evil to allow good acts. It is turning to God for guidance and following His will in the midst of adversity when we receive God’s graces.
